Moyle Kids get HIGH on new climbing wall! 

January 2017.   The finishing touches are being put to our fantastic new yard space with this challenging yet low level and safe climbing wall.  Perfect place to try out those rock climbing skills……

Athletics – Lifford Track and Field

On Friday the 22nd of April 2016, a bus load of pupils (37 to be exact) from 2nd – 6th classes travelled to Lifford Track to do our annual Track and Field events.  This is run by Lifford Athletic Club and there are sprints and long runs as well as turbo Javelin, Long Jump, High Jump and Shot Putt.  Everyone was excited and nervous as we made our way onto the centre of the track where all these events take place.    We had many gold, silver and bronze medals (48 in total).  The senior girls were fantastic at sprinting… We had a 1st, 2nd and 4th place in the 100m sprint in under 14 girls a clean sweep in the 03 girls high jump winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!  We also had great results in the long jump from Moyle school did exceptionally well especially the 05 boys and 03 girls. Visit to Ulster Rugby’s Homeground The Kingspan Stadium and The Neven Spence Center

The pupils from 3rd – 6th Class visited The Kingspan Stadium home of Ulster Rugby and The Neven Spence Center on Thursday 28th May. They had a wonderful time touring the grounds including the changing rooms, training facilitates and the pitch. Gymnastics

The pupils from Infants to 2nd enjoyed 4 weeks of gymnastics with Brendan Devenney during April and May. They learned how to do forward rolls, hand stands, jump of the trampoline and lots of other movements.

Sports Hall Athletics for Small Schools

On Friday the 27th November in Deele College, Raphoe, 16 pupils from 3rd – 6th class competed in a whole team event.

We ran hard,  we bounced even harder and we jumped high and long….. and we came joint 3rd.  A brilliant effort was put in by all our pupils.

They have done us proud.  Well done.

Lifford Cross Country 

Cross Country in Lifford seen Moyle school scoop 8 individual medals as well as 4 team medals.

Regional heats for under 9s, (600 meters) under 11s (800 meters) and under 13s (100 meters) were held on Thursday the 17th September.
